TOUR ONE

Our day starts in Union Square with coffee, biscotti, a history of the area and cable cars before heading through the actual Barbary Coast and it’s infamous alley were the gold rush days come alive! We’ll also have a tasting at one of my favorite hidden gems that was written up in a local SF magazine as the best of SF!
We’ll then head through Chinatown with a detailed history of the tongs, infamous opium dens of the past and scandals of the present before settling in for a tasty tea sampling at my all time favorite tea house! We’ll also stop by the famous Fortune Cookie Co. for a sample and to view how these yummy treats are made.
We’ll emerge in North Beach where we’ll visit several iconic spots and learn of it’s Italian roots that gave way to the hippie culture before partaking in libations at my favorite beat spot and chat up the locals while hearing about the Beats of yesterday! We’ll also have a tasting at SF’s famous Italian deli and end with the sweetest treat SF has to offer!
NOTE: This tour’s final destination is North Beach. I would recommend continuing your day with a stroll or quick bus ride down Columbus into Ghirardeli Square, The Wharf and Pier 39! Directions easily and gladly given!
